As a resource for fun and community, we are dedicated to serving opportunities to climb in an inclusive and safe environment. Volunteers must be belay certified, prepared to arrive 10-15 min early, and able to offer patient and compassionate support. Climbing Out of Parkinson’s
Join us weekly on Saturdays for belay support to Parkinson’s members! If you are interested in participating as a climber with Parkinson’s, find more information under the Community drop down.

Our goal is to offer opportunities for social and recreational interaction for disabled people, and thereby encourage:

Nature Academy Youth Belay
Collaborating with Nature Academy’s program to provide belays to 50 elementary school youth. The organization fosters a sense of mentorship through outdoor education.

Youth Community Climb
Partnering with non-profits around the Santa Cruz region to offer safe and inclusive climbing for youth experiencing homelessness or in foster care.

Inclusive Climbing Crew: Supporting Autistic Climbers
Social climbing group facilitated by Regan Clementi, OTR/L. Volunteers will help with belaying and playing between climbs with climbers of all abilities. Please arrive 15 minutes before the session begins to get specific support information on the participants for the day, as well as reviewing the volunteer information sheet before arriving. The hour will include guiding a warm up, giving belays, facilitating breaks in swings, and other social activities.
