We’re Here…We’re Queer…& We Climb!
About the Club:
Every 3rd Friday of the month, we’ll be hosting a meet-up for the climber gays of our community. Trans or cis, fifteen or fifty, pan or asexual, etc. You will be safe & welcome in our inclusive space. We strive to foster an environment of respect, safety, diversity and community building while meeting/having a blast with like-minded folx! All levels of climbing experience are welcome, from first timers to well-seasoned trad daddis. We have a zero tolerance policy against any and all discrimination such as transphobia, biphobia, racism, sexism, ageism, ableism, xenophobia, and (obviously) homophobia. No TERFs & no SWERFs, period.

About Our Organizers
Sonya (she/her)
Sonya has been climbing right here at Pacific Edge since she was a kid, coming to birthday parties and summer programs. In high school, she was even on Pacific Edge's ABS youth bouldering team. (she never placed)
While spending a few years away from the sport, she started working for local Santa Cruz ISP Cruzio Internet. Cruzio would provide her with training & certifications for tower climbing, and with them, the itch to return to sport climbing.
Nowadays, Sonya is climbing both indoors & out with affinity groups such as Santa Cruz Trad* Wives, Wall Dolls, Flash Foxy, and our very own Pac Edge Queer nights!
(* Trad as in trad climbing it's a joke)
Twig (They/Them)
Twig is probably the cutest Pacific Edge member that there is. At least that’s what everyone is always saying about them. Their climbing origin story is murky and mysterious, but they truly fell in love with climbing at Pacific Edge, where they worked front desk and coached one of the youth teams. Since then, they’ve been called to the forest (La Honda to be exact), but they still make it out every weekend for a good session. Their favorite parts of Pacific Edge are the yoga wall and the stem corner, and they only enter the weight room when chasing an errant ball. When not climbing, twig enjoys scampering about, participating in tomfoolery, and eating their fruits and veggies.
Community and Inclusion at PE:
Pacific Edge is committed to creating a safe and welcoming community environment for all of our members and guests. We expect all members of our community to act with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and consideration, towards each other, at all times.
Pacific Edge recently signed on to the Outdoor Diversity Pledge and we are committed to doing our part in helping diversify the outdoor industry.
