Ages 6-10

JR ROCK STARS & ROCK STARS SUMMER CLIMBING CAMP

Especially designed for younger climbers (Jr Rock Stars ages 6-7 & Rock Stars ages 8-10). These camps are a five-day introduction to indoor rock climbing. Each day is packed with fun climbing games and activities, all closely supervised by our caring staff. Instruction includes basic movement techniques and the establishment of safe climbing habits.

Cost is $115 per session, which includes shoes and harness rentals. Students are members of the gym for the entire week (come on in and climb outside of your camp time – Free).

All participants are required to have a parent-signed Pacific Edge Liability Waiver on file by the first day of class.

Ages 11-17

Youth Summer Camps - Levels I, II, & III

Week-long day camps, meeting for two hours M-F, offered at three different levels of instruction. Spend the summer climbing our walls! 

LEVEL I is a very thorough and traditional introduction to rock climbing. Mastery of primary climbing safety procedures for belaying and rappelling is the goal of this class. Students climb every day. Level I is a pre-requisite for other summer camp levels, unless the climber is belay certified at Pacific Edge.

LEVEL II teaches primary movement and footwork technique. New techniques and challenges are offered every day of the week! Pre-requisite: Level I or Pacific Edge belay certification.

LEVEL III takes skills learned in I & II and adds two field trips to Castle Rock State Park on Tuesday & Thursday for an introduction to outdoor climbing. Carpooling required. Pre-requisite: Summer Level II or completion of Youth Intro to Climbing, Core, or Lead.

Costs: $115 per week, Level III is $250 and includes two days (Tue/Thurs) at Castle Rock State Park. Fees include use of shoes, harness, and belay device for the week. Two hours of instruction daily.

All Students are members of the Gym for the week, including the following weekend and are encouraged to climb after class time (check Gym hours).
